Mount Vernon had been mailing very similar renewal notices for several years and testing. Testing had been minimal and there was little to no membership activity online.
Solution

National World War II Museum Case Study
Challenge
The National World War II Museum wanted to do a special exhibit for the 75th anniversaty of D-Day to honor all who gave some on those beaches and especially those some who gave all.
Solution
We added a new appeal to the schedule that featured a small candle that asked the donor to return it along with a generous gift to build a large commemorative candle. That candle would then be lit on the beaches of Normandy on the 75th anniversary. The letter/donation card featured a heart-wrenching account of Private First Class Harold Baumgarten, D-Day survivor and loyal Museum advocate.
